Please read these terms carefully. By using our website or entering into a storage agreement with Glacier Self Storage, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms govern your use of our website and any storage services provided at our facility.
1Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the website at glacierstor.com (the “Site”), submitting an enquiry form, or entering into a storage lease agreement with Glacier Self Storage (“we,” “us,” “our”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you are entering into a lease agreement on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2Storage services
Glacier Self Storage provides outdoor and covered vehicle and equipment storage at 11691 Industry Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Our services include storage spaces for:
- RVs — Class A, B, and C motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, and toy haulers
- Boats — jet skis through to large offshore vessels on trailers
- Motorcycles — covered storage spaces
- Cars — including classic, collector, seasonal, and personal vehicles
- Industrial equipment — trailers, skid steers, commercial vehicles, and fleet assets
Storage spaces are provided on an as-available basis. Enquiring or submitting a contact form does not guarantee availability or reserve a space. A space is confirmed only upon execution of a signed lease agreement and receipt of the first payment.
3Lease & payment terms
All storage leases are offered on a flexible month-to-month basis unless a longer term is explicitly agreed in writing. No annual or multi-year commitment is required.
Pricing. Rates are communicated directly upon enquiry and confirmed in your lease agreement. Prices are subject to change with a minimum of 30 days’ written notice to the customer. Rate changes do not apply retroactively to the current billing period.
Billing. Storage fees are billed on a monthly basis. The first payment is due upon signing the lease agreement. Subsequent payments are due on the same day of each calendar month.
Late payments. Payments not received within 10 days of the due date may incur a late fee as specified in your lease agreement. We reserve the right to restrict access to a stored vehicle or equipment if an account remains unpaid for more than 30 days.
Accepted payment methods. Payment methods accepted will be confirmed at the time of lease signing. Please contact us at 904-362-7064 for current options.
4Cancellation & termination
Cancellation by customer. You may cancel your month-to-month storage lease at any time by providing a minimum of 14 days’ written notice to us via email at info@glacierstor.com or in person during office hours. You are responsible for fees through the end of the notice period.
Removal of stored items. Upon cancellation, you must remove all stored vehicles and equipment by the end of your final billing period. Items not removed by this date may be subject to additional storage charges.
Termination by Glacier Self Storage. We reserve the right to terminate a lease agreement with 30 days’ written notice for any reason, or immediately in cases of:
- Non-payment of fees overdue by more than 30 days
- Storage of prohibited items (see Section 6)
- Breach of facility rules or these Terms & Conditions
- Conduct that endangers staff, other customers, or property
Items left on the premises after a lease has been terminated or has expired will be treated as abandoned property after 30 days. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking any further action. Applicable Florida state law will govern the handling and disposal of abandoned property.
5Access & facility rules
Access hours. The facility is accessible during office hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Gate keypad access hours may differ and will be confirmed in your lease agreement.
Gate access. You will be issued a unique keypad code upon signing your lease. You must not share your access code with anyone other than authorised individuals listed on your lease agreement.
By using our facility you agree to:
- Drive at a safe speed within the facility at all times
- Use only your designated storage space — do not encroach on neighbouring spaces
- Keep your storage space clean and free of debris
- Not perform mechanical work, repairs, or maintenance on vehicles within the facility
- Not conduct any business operations from the facility
- Report any damage to the facility or security concerns to us promptly
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws while on the premises
6Prohibited items
The following are strictly prohibited from being stored at our facility:
- Hazardous, flammable, or explosive materials (including full fuel tanks beyond what is reasonably required for vehicle operation)
- Illegal substances, contraband, or stolen property
- Live animals or plants
- Perishable food items
- Firearms or ammunition (unless securely locked within a vehicle)
- Any item that produces odours, attracts pests, or creates a nuisance for other customers
- Personal household goods or furniture (our facility is for vehicles and equipment only)
We reserve the right to inspect any stored item that we reasonably suspect violates these prohibitions and to remove and dispose of prohibited items at the customer’s expense.
7Liability & insurance
Glacier Self Storage is not a bailee and does not accept liability for loss, theft, or damage to any vehicle, equipment, or personal property stored at our facility, regardless of cause, including fire, flood, storm, vandalism, or theft.
Customer insurance. You are strongly advised — and in some cases required by your lease — to maintain appropriate insurance coverage on all vehicles and equipment stored at our facility. This includes but is not limited to comprehensive vehicle insurance that covers property stored off-premises.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Florida law, Glacier Self Storage’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with your use of our facility or website shall not exceed the total amount of storage fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.
Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Glacier Self Storage, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the facility, your stored items, or your breach of these Terms & Conditions.
8Security
Our facility is equipped with 24/7 CCTV surveillance and a secure keypad-controlled gate. While we take reasonable steps to maintain security, we do not guarantee that the facility is free from theft, vandalism, or unauthorised access.
CCTV footage is retained for a limited period and may be shared with law enforcement if required. It is not routinely shared with customers, though we will cooperate with insurance or police investigations involving stored property.
9Website use
The content on our Site — including text, images, and service descriptions — is provided for general information only. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose of any information on the Site.
You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Site or interfere with any other party’s use of the Site.
Submitting a contact form constitutes a request for information only. It does not create a contract for services, guarantee availability, or reserve a storage space.
10Governing law
These Terms & Conditions and any storage lease agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Duval County, Florida.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Changes do not affect existing lease agreements already in force unless we provide you with separate written notice of the change and a reasonable opportunity to terminate your lease if you do not accept the new terms.
Your continued use of the Site after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
